Enclosed patios allow you to enjoy the open air without worrying about the weather or pests. Although this is great, sometimes it is nice to be able to open up your enclosed patio. This is where retractable screens come in. Texton retractable screens provide options to your enclosed patio including a full roll up of the screen or even a pivot screen that extends on an arm. When you have a Patio Screen system, you can enjoy your outdoor space year round! However, like most systems, these patio screens require regular maintenance to maintain proper functionality. We are happy to now offer a maintenance program specifically for patio screens! We Clean Screen & Zipper Tracks
- Clean screen and zipper tracks with mild soap and water
- Soft brush/non-abrasive sponge to remove dirt and dust from screen and zipper tracks
- Rinse with clean water and dry with compressed air or blower
- Remove spider webs, bugs, debris from surrounding areas and patio area
- Clean bottom weighted bar and cassette for roller tube
- Clean bottom brush on weighted bar and comb as needed
- Clean inside cassette, remove debris, mud dauber nests, spider webs, insects, etc. If wood framed boxes are able to be removed, we will service these as well
We Test Screen/Remote Settings
- Operate each screen twice (up/down)
- Adjust upper and lower limits as needed
- Adjust screen limits to avoid wrinkles or waves in screen when lowered (adjustments made per manufacturer instructions)
- Ensure weighted/bottom bar sits level at raised and lowered positions
- Changes battery in remote (1x/year)
- Test and adjust remote programming asNecessary

We Will Lubricate Your Screens
- Remove any wd-40 or other non-recommended lubricants with Rain Guard, Inc. in-house cleaner
- Apply a ‘dry’ lube to zipper tracks; operate screens to disperse lubricant evenly
- Clean off excess lubricant

- Take pictures and document any damages or areas of concern
- Take pictures before and after screen
