About the Founder
Rain Guard Inc. was founded by Denis in 1982, but its roots run deeper—grounded in a strong family tradition of hard work and perseverance. The journey began in 1981 when Denis’s father, Gene, and older brother, David, started the original Rain Guard in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the time, Denis and his younger brother, Tim, were working in the oil fields. Sensing instability in the industry, they made a pivotal decision to join the family’s new venture.
After a year of building the business together, Denis envisioned something of his own. With Gene’s blessing, he struck out independently—moving to Oklahoma City, living with his parents, and borrowing a truck from the Tulsa office. Rain Guard Inc. was born with humble beginnings and bold determination. Denis secured his very first job using a pay phone to contact Bill Roberts Custom Homes—a relationship that continues to this day.
In 1994, the family formally divided the business. David and Tim went on to establish Rain Guard of Tulsa, while Denis retained the Rain Guard Inc. name. Gene stepped aside by selling his share to Denis for just $1, cementing Denis as the sole owner and founder of the company as it exists today.
Over the years, Denis built more than a business—he built a legacy. Guided by integrity, family values, and a tireless work ethic, Rain Guard Inc. continues to thrive under the principles he established, with the next generation proudly carrying the torch forward.
