Downspouts

By now you most likely know the importance of a gutter system and its functionality. A gutter system has two key components: the gutters themselves, and the downspout.

Downspouts are the vertical pipe that is attached to the gutter and extends all the way to the ground. It has the purpose of leading the water away from your home or business and preventing rainwater damage that could potentially cost thousands of dollars. You can see why the right downspout is crucial in your gutter system. If your downspout isn’t working efficiently then it won’t matter if your gutters are in good shape or not, because the two must work together.

Downspout Styles, Materials, and Accessories

Downspouts come in many different styles, materials, and accessories. If you have any questions regarding our downspout style, materials, and accessory selection, then give us a call and a trained downspout expert will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Downspout Styles

There are two main styles of downspouts:

  • Round
  • Rectangular

The reason there are two main types of downspouts is due to the  two main styles of gutter. The style of downspout that would work best for you is  typically based on the style of gutter you have on your home or building. Although round downspouts are usually installed with the Half Round style gutter, they can be installed with any style of gutter to fit your preferred aesthetic and exterior design. When our experts examine your gutter system, your representative will recommend  the style and size of downspout that will work best with your gutter system and style  of your home, ensuring proper drainage as well as an attractive exterior design.
